so before memory trends, i blogged about the little dinner party i had last week... but i didn't get a chance to post the photos because i was too busy decorating jeans! and that was quite a task! but i have to share these photos, it all turned out so beautifuL!
i finally settled on cheesy potato soup and spinach chicken apple salad. and then for dessert we had pumpkin gingerbread with carmel sauce. it was all yummy... i decorated the table in pink and green. it was so fun to eat up on the roof outside. after the sun went down, it's pitch black up here... no street lights, and we only have floor lighting on the roof... so it was quite dark... as in you couldn't see what you were putting in your mouth! i rubbed my new "fuzzy rub-ons" that we released at memory trends onto some pink gingham fabric for the table cloth (those by the way are the coolest... so fun and great impact! i can't wait til they are available)! the hurricane lamps and candles are both from joanns. the candles were on clearance for .50$ and the hurricanes were on clearance for like 2.25$... I embellished the hurricanes with my big florals and puffy centers... ribbons and rub-ons. you can really see very well in the photo... but they were so cute. the plates are gifts from my mother -in-law. she has tons of pieces of it.. and has started to help me start my collection. the crystal glasses are hand-me-downs from my grandma. i love them and this was the first time i have used them. we had pink lemonade and it looked really pretty! i added a little bottle of my 'lip shine' at the top of the place setting just to be girlie! the lip gloss is a whole blog entry on it's own!
anyway... i had so much fun getting ready for the evening! it was exactly what i needed to get my mind off my work! em and jodi were tons of help getting it all together... i don't know what i would do without them!
so it was: emily waters, liz eaton, emily falconbridge, jodi cantrell (new to my team), mandy spencer and myself. it was liz's birthday and mandy was in town so we celebrated the birth of her baby boy, and her birthday! it was so fun to have em falconbridge around. she is such a doll and i have known her since i went to au couple years ago! everyone had a great time catching up... it's so good to take time out and make a big deal out of something!

Beautiful table setting! Love those bowls.
Okay, I was at MT and I have to say the jeans you decorated were absolutely adorable in person!
(loved the lip gloss btw)

Heidi,
I just attended CKU and although I did not personally meet you, I have to say, you inspired me. Thanks for your fun "favorites" page and your smiles and cheerfulness that is contagious. I had fun just being around you.
I was checking out your blog and saw this picture of you and a few others and recognize Mandy. I think we went to high school together! Small world.
Thanks again for your inspiration!
Laura Buchanan
p.s. Love your handwriting!
