holy cow... thanks!

thank you all SOOOOOO much for the warm congrats and encouragement in the comments and emails that i have recieved!! what a delight it was to open up the blog to that embarassignly huge response... so thank you with all my heart! you have no idea...
it's midnight- sunday and i am sitting here eating an egg salad sandwich. the cravings are OUT OF HAND. during church all i could think about was lays original potato chips and ranch dip!!!

yesterday em, jodi and i visited a new store here in town called 'devine memories'... it's so cute.. looks like a great store. it's got a great vibe! we decorated conversation hearts boxes... i say, never too early to celebrate valentines! tell people you love, how much you love them! there were lots of ladies that turned out to play! thanks for having us sandy and michelle! i came home and crashed... took like a 3 hour nap! (on a sat. afternoon... UNHEARD OF!) then went to bed last night at 9:30pm and didn't get up until about 9am today! THEN... i took ANOTHER 3 hour nap today. ok... this is NOT normal.
(by the way... the egg sandwich is totally hitting the spot!) i don't remember the cravings this intense or being this tired in previous pregnancies.. but that was over 5 years ago!

i haven't been very creative in the last few days... but i did just pull out the QVC kit that Lisa B will be presenting on Wed. Jan 18th... have you all heard about this one??? if not... go to lisa's site: lisabearnson.com and check it out! i am not sure how i got so lucky on this gig... i was selected to be one of the manuf. for this totally cool offer from QVC. lisa put together this idea that kindof reminds me of CKU-A.... in terms of totally completing an album-following an outline and having everything, including instructions to get you through the whole thing.

let me tell you one thing first off... about QVC. i now know FIRST HAND how unbelievalbly committed QVC is first to VALUE and close second, to QUALITY! you would not believe how HARD it is to get kits and products past their quality control program... let alone get a kit TO quality control because it is a good enough value to the customer. if you have never made it a point to watch the scrapbook events on QVC.. you SHOULD. the kits are amazing. you can't go wrong.

ok, having said that... i'll quick explain this TSV (TSV stands for 'today's special value- that alone ensures an even MORE tremendous opportunity). OK- it's called "Lisa's Favorite Albums". there are 4 albums in the program. you get one every 3rd month. you pay for each one separately and they charge your credit card when it ships. basically, this is a year deal, so it's not too overwhelming! the very first one is called "all about me"... and it's a heidi swapp kit!!! the album is a beautiful fabric covered 8x8 that comes with it's own box even. .. (in the end... all 4 albums go in a really cute keepsake box)
you get this HUGE ARRAY of products...and a very impressive well-designed instruction kit. i am completely delighted with the kit. i think they did an awesome job creating it!
sooo... that is my task, next couple days is to complete my book about 'me' and show you...

guess what!

i'm pregnant! (smile!)

i think the word got out a little today. i did an online chat last night, at croppers cottage.. i really like those croppers cottage ladies... anyway... there were several questions about 'what is going to be the next big trend!' and i finally had to admit that my big trend is going to be about babies! admittedly, i am only like 5 minutes pregnant... so i really should not be saying a word... it's pregnant enough to keep me from diving when i go on the crusie with becky higgins! (march 5-12)...is anyone coming on that? i seriously can't wait! 7day cruise... but i did want to dive.

so! i am very excited... i haven't been pregnant for about 5 years... and i have been so sick. i did finally get some anti-nausea medication... so that has helped! my little sister is pregnant with her first, and so is my sister-in-law... so there will be a few little ones all the same age! the kids are soooo excited... quincy of course is sure it's a girl, and the boys are really hoping for a little brother...

so no triathalons this year... JUST a baby! sometime around august i think!

wow! happy new year

it's been a LONG time since i blogged....seriously everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

i have to tell you that despite my BAH HUMBUG attitude, we had the most wonderful, fabulous, delightful christmas on record! from about the time of my last post until christmas eve... i was under the GUN... work deadlines were top pryority and seemed to be relentless... then personal deadlines that were long overdue like making christmas cards, wrapping presents, making neighbor gifts, celebrating my anniversary (11years) on the 21st (what were we thinking) and eric's b-day on the 22nd. then all things compounded with kids being let out of school and wanting to do "fun things as a family"!! WOOO HOOO we made it. we spent a wonderful christmas eve with jarmans... get this: we swam. it was about 85 degrees during the day and completely unchristmassy! we had a delicious dinner, played and visited. i loved having christmas on sunday. maybe that is cause we didn't have church until 1pm, so our festitivties were completed along with a nap for mom and dad before we had to be there. but our church service was so beatufiul and i sat and cried through the whole thing. feeling overwhelmingly blessed and so much love for my savior and increased understanding of HIS mission. monday morning we loaded up and headed for SLC, utah... for a weeks play with my family.
TWELVE HOURS in the car...(love that drive)... we had the best time! boys all boarded. i froze... i have to do something about my thinning blood! we ate at all my favorite places, went snowmobiling at my grandpa's cabin in Oakley and basically just spent every minute we could together as a family.
and now-- it's almost midnight, and i am going to go and soak in a HOT bath and try to recover from that same 12 hour drive home.

i am happy to be home. i have a huge number of 'unread' emails in my in-box. we go the carpets cleaned while we were gone... and so there is furniture and odd's and ends stacked all over as well... and since i seriously took the week OFF, i am sure that i have piles of issues to attack tomorrow.
I am SO excited for the NEW YEAR!
i LOVE the new year... i don't know if i just like a 'clean slate' or a 'fresh start' or what... i just feel a renewed sence of self every year. i have my list of 'resolutions' that i have thought long and hard about... and am determined to push myself to grow in new ways! we sat as a family on new year's eve and wrote our resolutions.... we each wrote 5 in the areas of: physical, spiritual, financial, educational and a wild card... as we were all participating i was particularly touched by my quincy's new year's resolution: "never give up". i don't know where she got that... (she's 4)... but i almost felt that it was just what i needed to remember. so i did add that to my list, and i plan to apply that to each category.
i wish you a very happy and delightful new year.
and that what ever it is that you decide to take on this year... whatever it is you wish to change, or improve on in yourself... that you will 'never give up!'
