I slept in until 10:25 this morning.
There is something wrong with me.
I am going to stay up so late tonight and work! I have so much to catch up on!
Last night we continued our “local store tour” at a great scrapbook store called “Scrap Happy Sisters”. Em and I drove about an hour to get there. I think I am continually amazed at the vastness of the greater-phoenix area. It’s seriously so huge! Anyway, we had such a great time last night. They had an amazing turn out… over 100 women crammed into their store. it was set up perfect for what we do. it’s usually a 2-hour deal, the first hour I talk about the “she” stuff, and different ideas and tips to using my products…then we do a raffle where someone wins me scrapbooking their photos. And that usually takes me about an hour… I kind of talk my why through it etc..it’s fun. I will admit, it’s a little harrowing to have 100 people watching you scrapbook!
This is Mari- she won the scrapbook page. I like to introduce people to the 9x9 size for scrapbooking, so I bring about 40 scrapbook pages mounted on boards so that everyone can see the real pages. Then I do a 9x9 page and give the winner a 9x9 album.
Here is also the owners and em…
Thanks for all the comments and email suggestions about different
solutions for the hands-free baby holding… I ordered something from
hotslings… it hasn’t come yet. And some sweet soul gave me a ‘metro
wrap’ when I was at Creative Escape… it’s about 100 yards of fabric
that you wrap around yourself multiple times- Capri seemed to love it!
it’s quite comfortable. We are getting ready to embark on another
‘creative trip’ next week. I can’t wait. Miss Capri will be joining the
creative team, so I have to come up with something that I can carry her
in. I am sure one of these solutions will work! (this photo is of the
“metrowrap”.
So I need to get some quality scrapbook time in!! I did a quick layout of quincy’s first day of school… SO cute. She is LOVING school so much! I plan to doing some scrapbooking tonight. i am working on the first quarter of my BIG PICTURE class! I am really excited about it. eric is buying me a microphone this afternoon, and I am getting ready to do an audio class description that you can download for free and find out all about what I will be doing… the class will get me to do a bunch of things that I have been wanting to do, and just haven’t made time etc. Plus, I will be teaching some of my favorite techniques, and I have a bunch of other surprises that will come up throughout the year. I just heard that registration will open Oct. 1st… so I need to get my descriptions and info together as soon as possible. If you have never visited the Big Picture website, check it out! I am so thrilled about the possibilities of this class… it’s totally making me happy and re-energized to think about.

I really love that you are updating more often. I was wondering if this will be a year long class like Donnas, Thats what it sounds like? Heres to hoping :) Capri is gorgeous but she looks just like Daddy sorry... Quincy looked adorable on her first day, glad she loves school....
Have a great night....

I totally LOVE the 9x9 size l/o's! I've been scrapping for a LONG time,(yep, I was taking classes from you about a decade ago, lol!) and it's by far the best size I've ever worked on, and I've tried 'em all! I'm having a hard time finding the albums, tho...any suggestions?

Very cool! I didn't know you were going to do a Big Picture class! I've been taking Donna Downey's all year class and love it. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us!

Oh my gosh, your daughter is such a cutie...well both of them. I love the sparkle frame. I just bought some of your ghost letters and foam stamps. I have scrapping for about 2 years, but just now starting to try new techniques and use lots of embellishments. Thanks for all of your inspiration. Congratulations on your newest member of the family, Capri is a doll. I will be checking out your class and watching for creative escape updates, I am already saving up for the trip!

Heidi-we can't find the CE book for anything in new orleans and none of the scrapbook stores locally (I checked 2 of our 2 that reopened post-katrina) had any idea about it- please, please, please let us order it somehow and let me know how as I am sure it has tons of wonderful ideas from your event (and attending just wasn't possible at the start of school) I am learning techniques mostly from the internet because I am a single working mom and have no time or ability to get to classes so you are my link to better scrapbooking (can I guilt you into offering to sell the book, hint hint!!!) thanks!

I am soooo excited about your Big Picture classes, heidi!! I am totally in on that. I don't know if you remmeber the sling I was wearing with Gabby at Creative Escape, but it is one of those Hotslings ones that you mentioned in your post and it is AWESOME. It really is great when you're out and about 'cause the baby is close to you and you're arms don't get tired from holding her...and it's CUTE! hehe!! It comes with a booklet for different types of ways you can hold the baby and stuff...Gabby loves being in it. Hope it works for you guys, and post of picture of the 2 of you if you end up using it!!

Gosh, Capri is getting bigger everyday! From what I can tell you're getting your figure back pretty quick. I hope you find that perfect thing to hold her in for classes. I haven't been to Scrap Happy Sisters yet. I have to make the drive.
Love the layouts and you will do an amazing job on big picture. http://jolenegeorge.blogspot.com/

Love the page of Miss Q! I CANNOT wait for your Big Picture class, I'm in desperate need of some Heidi inspiration these days. I also wanted to thank you for introducing me to the 9x9 size. Never thought of that size till I took one of your classes at GASC and the girls were talking about it there. I promptly went to the Advantus booth and bought a 9x9 album and I just love it!

Hey Heidi! You look amazing and that baby, what a little blessing! My friend Denise picked up the Creative Escape book at Scrapbooks, Etc. for me and is going to send it up to Idaho. Can't wait! Your products are still my very favorite. You rock.

Whew...I'm exhausted just writing it all!! tee hee.......you have a beautiful life and one we're all envious of!! Keep up the good work, Cathy :o)
