This is not an old ultrasound picture of Capri.
Two weeks ago, we got our first look at our 5th child.
(gasp)…
I know.
I’m pregnant. Again!
Today I spilled the beans to my Big Picture “year to remember” class today! So the word is out! my mom was telling me how much she loves telling people the news cause she gets such great reactions! It is pretty fun… so far, everyone that I have told has totally freaked out. not more than my own level of freak out! We were fairly sure that we wanted to have one more child, so that Capri wouldn’t be all alone with the rest of the kids so much older… but not 11 months later. You would think that by the 5th go around, I’d know what causes this! (wink!)
We are thrilled and excited. Scared and nervous. And sure that if one infant threw off your schedule and makes it hard to run into the grocery store for that one forgotten ingredient, TWO infants… less than a year apart will REALLY present a challenge.
Capri and our new baby will be 11 months apart. My due date is July 15th. I figure I am a lot better off than I was last year with only a month before Creative Escape… this year I will have what, 7 weeks? much better!
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT 2 YEARS IN A ROW I WILL HAVE A NEWBORN AT CREATIVE ESCAPE????? That is out of control!
I have truly been blessed this go around.
I haven’t been sick at all… I have been a little tired, and a little emotional! (that might be due to reality, and not necessarily hormones!) I feel great… I LOVE having baby Capri around. She is an absolute DELIGHT. Each day she gets funner and cuter and more alert. It’s amazing… and can you imagine, we will do it again!
I am very thankful to be a mother.
Blessed to have such bright and charming children who love their parents and one another. i marvel at how different I am as a woman, and mother than I was 9 years ago when I had my first… I am thankful for my personal growth and how that has allowed me to serve and teach my children.
I am humbled.
I believe that God has a plan. And I trust that He will bless me with the capacity I need.
Yikes.
Only 24 ½ weeks to go.

I am so surprised and delighted to hear your good news. I am sure Capri will be glad to have a close companion to grow up with. I hope you have time to keep another pregnancy journal for this one (and maybe give us a peek or two at). It seems it would be such a treasure to have. Heidi, this is amazing! And what a wonderful attitude and perspective you have. That IS so crazy that you will have yet another newborn at CE! So much fun! I hope all goes well for you throughout your pregnancy...can you believe little Capri is going to be a BIG SISTER???

wow! just read at big pic! I can't imagine, but hey, at least you will be able to use that baby stuff you have laying around! LOL. My sister and I were 11 months apart and we had fun, we were like twins.My friends tease me about how similar you and I are but i doubt there will be a number 5 in our future. Good luck! P.s. hope you held onto those maternity clothes :)

I was thinking of you today as I came home from hospital today after having my 4th Baby! You have been such an inspiration over the past year with watching you with Capri. I was thinking I wonder if you'd have a 5th?? as I am totally in love and was wondering is it normal to keep up this level of love, excitement and happiness with new babies...I guess the answer is Yes!!
