You poor thing, after all that, SPLAT. All you wanted to do was let out a loud SCREEEAM of release (but not in a public place). Then had to walk all the way back to the front, get a cleaning person and admit you have to make your purchase all again. You just tried to have a nice day. Here is a hug.

Know how you feel. Great day today...ended up with a Venti Mocha all over. Not a good thing. Hope your week goes well. Love your class. 18 days till Creative Escape registration starts. Can't wait!!!

Nichole

You poor thing! If it makes you feel better, I would have said worse than the "h" word. ;-) Did you at least get to watch 24 last night?

Mary L.

Sounds like me with my herd at the movies. Sometimes I feel like it's not even worth it...except that if it's a dorky kids movie, I take a nap. Ha! :)

angela

You don't know how happy I was to read your blog post today, I am having one of those days today..... I have 3 daughters all under the age of 4 and it's just nice knowing I'm not the only one out there that has one of those days....But I am truly sorry that you had the icee incident. Like they say when it rains it pours!!

Diane McVey

OH, bless your heart! I can just imagine how awful that was...thank goodness today's another day!! Sounds like today is going better, too! Sometimes it takes some terrible incidents, to make us appreciate the good ones...glad the kids were sweet afterward. I'm sure they felt awful, too!
{{{{{HUGS}}}}} to all of you!

Charisse

There are lessons everywhere. The kids won't think twice about volunteering next time and they learned a lesson there. I am sure blue Icee all over your shoes is pretty traumatizing though. Sorry about that part and the wasted money.

melissa :)

Ok, call me stupid - what is the "h" word? Anyone? LOL! I may need to start using it. Good chance I'll start using it. :)

Odette

As always... you are too cute when you tell your stories. It's nice to share the stories and remember how funny the actual day was. I've my share of misaps at the movies.

I am convinced that the "dropsies" as DH calls them are going around. I have dropped (and broken) 2 glasses, a Corelle salad plate (aren't they supposed to be unbreakable?) and my favorite pink coffee mug just in the past 2 days! It has gotten so crazy in my kitchen that I have kept the vacuum cleaner plugged in and standing next to the lighthouse mural alongside my frig since last night so I won't have to go out to the garage to get it and go through the hassle of plugging it in to pick up the shards.

Deep breathe, positive thoughts, new day...

Love the AYTR class!!!

whats the "h" word - I can't think of any bad words that start with "H" except hell and thats not too bad so if it's hell don't whip yourself to bad. Aren't days like that the pits!!!! What holiday did you celebrate (I am from Australia and we don't have any holidays until australia day on the 26th jan)

Amy Valletta

Heidi - See if your movie theatre lets you purchase your tickets on-line then all you have to do is pick them up when you get to the theatre - you can cut it real close and still park a mile away - kind of like Broadway, but only closer to home !!

Karen G

I had one of those days too. Was at Walmart with my kids and had to go to the bathroom so bad, I didn't even notice it was the men's bathroom. My son came in to tell me half way through. Don't think anyone saw me but my kids won't let me forget it. Today is much better.

Joni

{{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}}....some days are like that even in Australia...love that book(Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day) We used to read that to our kids when they were little (now 18 & 16)whenever they had a bad day!

jen

Hope now that Monday is over that you are having a better day!! :)

Shawnna / flipflopmom

oh bummer -- blue icee is MESSY
glad you enjoyed the movie and on the
bright side you could have spilled blue
icee in YOUR own house - that would stink ;)

paige

heidi girl
i am having serious withdrawels & need to see some of your creations!!!!
please, soon???
the "h" word story is so funny. gotta love it when your kiddos not only hold you accountable but remind you of your faults!

Karen C

Life! Isn't it wonderful.

Heidi---I'm sooooo sorry but I had to laugh at your story because it is just SO SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE-ISH! You will probably look back and laugh in a few months...My incident to remember was when everyone ran into the house leaving me with the groceries--so not to be the NASTY mom, I decided to just grab all the bags and ended up dropping THREE SPAGETTI SAUCE jars onto the driveway--yes--they all exploded into a million pieces! (no, not the kids--the jars!) :D but the kids did feel bad for leaving me "holding the bags" hahaha! yes NOW I can laugh...oooooo but it was a bad scene....
Smiles,
Mary Ellen

Hmm, does the "H" word refer to a place down under? ;)

Hillary

Lisa Cohen

Sorry to hear about the blue icee incident. I hope you are less sticky now... and glad to hear that you enjoyed the movie!! Hopefully tomorrow will have absolutely no spills!!

Tiffany K

You are one rockin' momma! You did all that stuff AND took 3 kids to the movies??? I only have 1 kid and I was proud just to get out of bed and get her to school on time! :) Your post made me literally LOL and cheered me up immensely! Not that I'm glad you had a bad day or anything, but it's nice to know we're not alone, you know?!? BTW, I'm totally loving your YTR class!!!
