just thought that i'd better drop a friendly reminder that tomorrow morning registration for CREATIVE ESCAPE begins at 9 AM PACIFIC TIME!!!!
set your alarms...you won't want to delay this year!

I'm sorry for all of you who've had disappointing experiences with registering for CE this year.

However, like CKU and other high-caliber, star-driven events, I am not at all surprised by how fast it sold out. Lots of people wanted in this year after all the glowing reviews of last year's event.

Heidi herself is likely spending the weekend with Eric and her children, and I think it's perhaps a little unfair to demand that she immediately respond to everyone's posts. I think it's fair to say she'll speak up at some point, but she doesn't personally have any control over the registration system (I don't think.. I know last year when I took classes from her she relied on Em to run the PowerPoint ;)).

I know it's hard because you're excited, but try to be a little patient. It'll get ironed out. You might not all get spaces, but I'm sure they'll do what they can to accomodate people. I'm sure none of the CE folks want potential participants to be upset.

If there are that many people trying to register for the same event at the same time it's guaranteed to 'freeze' and maybe have a few problems. Somehow I managed to register, but my computer also froze like others and I had just as many problems getting in...I'm still waiting for my confirmation. But really we can't blame Heidi that our computers froze because of the large volume of people...these things happen.

I didn't even try to register, but am rather embarrased that some of you are badgering Heidi as if she has some control of the situation. Obviously with such a popular event not everyone can go. And wether or not they "knew" it would be so popular may have little to do with the way registration went. This happens all the time during popular online registrations. Yes, Heidi is a large part of it's popularity but acting like spoiled children (on her blog) in an effort to get to go is silly.

to the comments left by the last few people... especially 't'...no one is badgering Heidi...and your reference to acting like a spoiled child must be your own persective... people in good faith tried to register for an event and obviously had some serious problems that seem somewhat frustrating or unfair if they had a reservation in their basket and then weren't able to pay for it. I doubt that anyone is trying to get to go, as you put it, for we all understand that there are only so many spots available... Anyone in business who cares about their supporters knows that along with the raves and compliments, one must also listen to the complaints and frustrations which customers may encounter. Ninety-nine percent of the time, people are all raving to Heidi about how much they love her and admire her talent. Consider the comments of the registration process the other 1%.

Girls, girls, girls.......if you have any experience with ever getting tickets for a "hot" event, you have got to know that it is the luck of the draw. Whether you are a big fan, a newcomer, or whatever, buying tickets for an event is a random thing. Some of you missed something at registration time (games, parties, etc), that was the chance you took. Do what others are doing, plan something on your own with some friends. Encourage your LSS to do a big event for a weekend.

Luckily I was able to register but several of my friend were not. :( I hope they are high up on the registration list.

Honestly, I am SHOCKED that they didn't let the people from last year pre-register for this year. It should be like season tickets to sporting events - you have the chance to renew your "seats" and if you opt out then someone else can buy them.

WOW!!!!I CAN'T BELIEVE IT FILLED SO FAST. I HAD A LOT OF DIFFICULTY REGISTERING ALSO. IN THE END I HAD 6 SEATS AND ONLY NEEDED 3. I EMAILED BILLING TO HAVE THEM REMOVE 3. SO THIS WILL FREE SOME UP FOR 3 OTHER PEOPLE. WHAT MAKES ME NERVOUS IS THAT I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A CONFIRMATION NUMBER BUT MY CREDIT CARD IS CURRENTLY CHARGED > $3500.
OUCH!!! GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YOU. DID ANYONE ELSE RECEIVE THEIR CONFIRMATION NUMBER?
