So in my opinion, there are 2 kinds of scrapbooking…
There is the kind that is to inspire and impress… and for ‘show’… the ones that you want to dial it up a bit… try something new, incorporate cool techniques and freshies…
Then… there is the ‘reality scrapbooking’… the kind that is no pressure… fun. Doesn’t take forever to complete, they flow. The focus is on capturing the moments… the memories.
I do a little of both…(smile)
But the truth is… with all that I am juggling at the moment, the reality scrapbooking category has taken priority! But you know…I love it. I totally love to scrapbook. Especially the no pressure, playful kind!
I mentioned that I had spent some time going through photos and realizing how much I have NOT scrapbooked! I don’t believe in “being behind”… cause it’s just a process I think! I am embarrassed to tell you… I felt tragically behind! So I decided to start with birthday parties… I have 2 years of birthday parties for the kids where I have maybe scrapbooked one or two photos here and there for this or that… but I think that for a child, his/her birthday parties are some of their favorite memories!
SO…
Today I started with quincy… 2006 and 2005 birthdays:
(i went back to my roots and did 8.5x11 pages)!!
i always get the feedback that people can’t find the products… so I decided to put together a little “kit” (for lack of a better word) that would incorporate a bunch of the items I used today as I was scrapbooking… watch for a link in the next day or so to see what’s included… this is an exclusive deal, and I’m offering it for a ROCKIN’ deal…
the link will also take you to my site where a few more details and pointers on these pages will be located.
Ok… going to bed. More scrapbooking tomorrow! I gotta rest up!

Those are precious! I love all the pink! Thanks for sharing your still amazing "reality" scrapbooking! I still think it's amazing!

FUN! TFS all your LO's. I was super stuck on a project I was planning on. Thinking of doing a 12 x 12 but now...I might just try this size. Might work great with the photos I want to use. Thanks for the inspiration!

Absolutely awesome! I really am inspired by your work. Makes me wish I was at home scrapbooking today. I can relate to the scrapbooking for everything/everyone else but me concept. I am working to finish up a few projects (like my AYTR assignments) and then start working on my pictures....for me. :) That will be one of the things that make it AYTR. Thanks again Heidi and can't wait for the link for the products.

Yay for you! i am proud of you for getting back in the groove of enjoying this as a HOBBY!! My girlie is turning four this year so I also need to get on the party thing! I think you hit is on the nose -- Birthday Parties are a big deal and hopefully a very fond memory! I like how you can just make a decision (I am going to scrap their parties) and then you just sit down and go!! Productivity 101 -- have a game plan! Can't wait to see what all you come up with for the others! And remember you aren't even behind on sweet little Capri (at least not BD Parties anyway)! :)
