So, this is what 35 looks like on me! 
Today is my birthday! April 30… I think it’s a good day! and even a Monday this year! so it’s extra nice… my house is getting cleaned at the moment… and what could be better than that? well, I decided to give myself a nap this morning as well. I think that one of the most difficult decisions of my day: what should I do while Capri sleeps! That time is so valuable… I never want to waste even a second of it… the question is: do I sleep? Do I clean up? Do I do laundry? Do I eat? Or do I work… usually I try to take advantage of the quiet house to get some work done… record my audio tracks for my online class at Big Picture Scrapbooking… but today… I indulged myself, and went back to sleep. Naps are feeling SO good… so I figured that today I could give that to myself!
I have been celebrating for a week or so now… last weekend, I invited some girlfriends to dinner and out to stay at the “wild horse pass” resort in Chandler, AZ. It was so much fun… seriously, SO NICE there… I loved it. wow… the food- so good! I got these yummy apple pancakes for breakfast. (I have a thing for GOOD room service!)…
As part of my “Year to Remember” class on BPS, I challenged everyone to ‘throw a party’ sometime in april… I had a couple, but kind of ‘counted’ my own birthday party. I am not a big fan of celebrating my birthday… I don’t know why… I mean, it doesn’t freak me out to get older or anything… I am just not really into it?? so this was a big stretch for me!
then last night we had dinner at eric’s mom’s and she made me my favorite birthday cake: Red Velvet… with pink frosting… I totally forgot to take my camera, so I didn’t even get a photo, but it looked so cute! Here is just he piece I brought home to enjoy later!!
Thought I would show off some of the other surprises of the day! my sis-in-law sent me this ‘edible arrangement’… so cute… the choc. Bananas were my favorite (no surprise)… a friend of mine brought me over the cute cokes… so thoughtful! My mom sent me these cute pink pots and pans… (hmmm what should I cook?) . em got me a pillow like her favorite, and the ballet flats from jCrew that I have been coveting. SO SPOILED! … all this and a nap! What’s not to like?
Ok, I have to go pay my quarterly taxes…

I was just at Wild Horse Pass Resort not last weekend, but the one before. What a great resort, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

I'm so glad your Birthday was wonderful - you sure look relaxed and happy! What a delish cake - I love red velvet! I remember those baby naps and wondering what to do - I could get a lot accomplished, or nap myself. Most days it was hard to pick! Glad you got a nap in though on your special day!!
