Usually, when you are in the business of something, you are the last one to benefit from the products or services you are involved with… like if you are married to a plumber, usually… you live with drips. Or if you are a home builder, your home has little unfinished parts and pieces forever.(Or even if you are heidi swapp, you still can’t get ghost wings or butterflies-among other things- cause they are on backorder!)Well, for me, since Eric developed this new garage door, he’s been telling me that we were getting some… and I just figured that it was one of those “someday” kind of deals. And actually, he did order one for us, and it did come…but it never made it up. Instead was used for shows and testing! Well, last weekend, our “someday” came! We got our beautiful new garage doors installed. They are so awesome! Too bad they only show on the side of the house! You can only really see them when you pull all the way around, but they look awesome, and I love the top glass part cause it allows so much more light into the garage. We are excited.. just had to brag ‘em up a little!! They are now in full production, taking orders and things are really happening! It’s so exciting… and it’s fun to see so much time, and effort starting to pay off!
have a happy memorial day... we are not going anywhere... we are keeping it totally LOW KEY! i think we are the only ones left in town! instead of taking a vacation... we are just going to do like in "what about BOB?"... (remember that movie)... and 'take a vacation from my problems!'... try to enjoy a little bit of NOTHING. (sounds fantastic!)

Oh my gosh... those truly are the most beautiful garage doors I've ever seen!

Ooo. Love the doors, and love the sound of your 'home vacation'. =) We're sort of doing the same thing here. I think we're the only ones home, and I'm enjoying it. All the neighbors are camping for the weekend...it's 60 and raining. I think we made the right choice by staying in! I'm baking and scrapping and the kids are watching movies and doing watercolors. Perfect, if you ask me.
Best to you as you countdown to baby #5! I'm getting excited for all of you!
Enjoy your weekend.

BEAUTIFUL garage doors!!! Wow, they look great on your house. You have to be super excited about this, and what a great way to show folks how they will look when THEY buy them!!! Have a wonderful weekend at home...just can't hardly beat HOME. :)

The doors are AMAZING!!! You are one lucky woman! Does he make special screens that go in front of a garage door? Something like that would make my garage side look awesome. Congrats & enjoy!

I love that movie! And I love the garage doors too. When I finally (in a few years to come yet) jump on the property market, I would like one of those garage doors! Have a lovely Memorial weekend :)

I wondered when you were going to get your "own" garage door - they are absolutely gorgeous!! I'm right with you on the "low key" weekend - not a single thing planned.

Your new doors are beautiful! Sounds like fun having a low key weekend! Sometimes it's just needed! I just had to laugh about the plumber-drip comment cause my hubby's a plumber and I've been wanting new bathroom fixtures forever but he somehow never finds the time to change them....hehe!

Enjoy the time at home. I hope I get that someday!

If only those doors had been available a few years ago when we were replacing ours! It is so much more beautiful than the one I used to think was gorgeous before I saw Eric's. Alas. I hope these are totally and wildly successful.
Also, have you noticed how your very cute supplies show up on everyone's layouts? My daughter-in-law had the perfect answer. Said she, "They are just to easy to use. You don't have to have all the right paper, all the right rub-ons, all the right fonts, or anything else. They are quick and easy to use with whatever else you want to use." Isn't my daughter-in-law so very smart? She's also beautiful, kind, and a wonderful wife and mother. She loves to scrapbook so she is completely perfect.

look at you guys...The Swapp House of Creativity!!!! with yours and erics creative genes in their blood, imagine how far your children will go someday!!!
i work part time in a family restaurant where we put butcher paper and crayons on the tables and caddies for families to enjoy while waiting for their meals...what a score on that one! after working there for over 4 years, i have NEVER thought of making up what you did for your kids on your own home TABLE myself...man, i should read more magazines myself other than creating keepsakes and memory makers...
thanks for keeping me inspired heidi!

This message is for Mr. Heidi-
Those garage doors are BEAUTIFUL. What a neat product. I would love to pull up in my driveway and see something that beautiful but I don't know if my HOA would allow for that much of a change.
by the way-what's the website to get those doors? If you're gonna show us something neat you gotta at least tell us where to buy it.
