So much has happened since I last posted, where does that time go? Actually … I know! Ha ha… it’s been SO nuts around here… and after the last 5 or so days, I can’t seem to convince myself to get up off the couch. I just feel so tired. I think that the 115degree temps are not helping!
Preview day was an awesome experience and a huge success!!! It was so fun for me to watch the teachers in action, see their personalities match up to their projects and teaching style. We are each so different, and it’s a really cool mix! I am happy about it! it’s so great as a teacher to get a chance to go through a class, see how long things are really going to take, what things are going to be problems, and develop solutions before hand! Everyone is going to love the projects… and NOT TO WORRY… those of you who will not be attending the event this year… you will be able to purchase the book… we are in the throws of working on that now… but it’s like, oh I don’t know… 130 pages or so- full color- fully stepped out projects, supply list and how to instructions… many of the projects will make beautiful holiday giflts… I am already planning! Of course, the book won’t be available until after the event… and we are really encouraging scrapbook store owners to PRE-ORDER through Bazzill. We are planning on having them organized for delivery that week after the event! Last year we sold through the show book in less than a week. We had a great group of ladies serving as volunteers… when they got there Friday morning, we had everyone sign a CONFIDENTIALITY agreement. Then they were each assigned a box that held all the kits. After each class and project was completed… it had to go back into the box, labeled with their name, not to be re-opened until CE, when they can reclaim them! I even had to stash mine back in… not taking ANY chances! LOL
Here is a quick pic of the girls that are teaching… such a great mix! I love them all, and I am SO GRATEFUL that they have been willing to jump through all the hoops that is involved with teaching at our event! They have been awesome to work with! Originally Rebecca Sower was teaching as well, but due to some health problems, she will not be joining us… so sad! But, we have added Jennifer Wagner to the group! She is super-talented, high-energy girl who we roped in, and she put together such a fun project we are all loving! She teaches here locally at Mistic paper…
Here is the cute shot I snapped of all the volunteers! Course these ladies are so excited, gave us awesome feedback, and are totally up for making CE even more amazing than last year! we can’t pull it off w/ out them!
So my dear friend heather (she is in the volunteer photo on the front row, all the way to the right…) she drove over from Calif. to be a volunteer, and brought her 4 kids that are all almost the same ages as my kids. The kids have a blast together… but it’s a LOT of kids! We had 2 babysitters for both days, and everything went great (other than a small BB gun incident). Then we had a low key father’s day, and then Monday morning, I woke up early, did the whirlwind clean up in order to get ready for the cleaning lady to come! I even cleaned out some drawers and straightened my SHOES. Got laundry going…and then spent Monday afternoon at BIG SURF with lots of kids!… by Tuesday I was in full swing ‘catch up’, and yesterday I just kind of bonked. I feel like that low-energy poop-out has even overflowed into today. I am tired. I went to the dr. today, and i’m still pregnant! My sister-in-law Cassie and I both have our due dates the first week of JULY! Well, she went and had her baby 2 nights ago! A baby boy! So cute… I went to the hospital (the nurses kept asking me if I wanted a wheel chair-LOL)… anyway… it was so amazing to hold a newborn again. Of course I am an emotional time bomb… and anytime something strikes, it’s a flood-gate! But he is so beautiful and perfect. it’s all just almost more than I can believe! Feeling like I was just there, and Capri still seems so tiny, but compared to this new little life, she is HUGE! Sitting in that room, the same place I will find myself in just over 2 weeks… giving birth again, WOW. Just very humbling, a little overwhelming and just plain joyful! I have an induction date of July 7. Such a cool birthday for a baby boy! 7-7-07! 2 weeks from Saturday. I went to target today and bought newborn diapers, boy-onesies and sleepers… I mean, seriously… can this really be here?
While there, I just couldn’t resist these tiny sandals. Capri only has a size 2 foot, so these are really probably not ‘walking’ shoes, but cute indeed…

I am only 18 weeks pregnant and you have about 10 times more energy than I do! You are amazing! So fun to have a cool birthday like that...my two boys are 2/1/00 and 4/3/02. But this next baby will break the pattern and be 11/2-/07. Good luck with all the baby and CE stuff!

Holy cow. You totally just freaked me out! I glanced down through your pictures first and saw those chubby little legs with the sandals and I thought..."OMG, SHE IS SWOOOOOOOOLLEN! She didn't look swollen in the first pic??!! Is she ok???!!!" After a moment of panic, I totally skimmed until I read that it was a pic of cutie pie Capri's toesies. Phew! {{{Of course, THEN I noticed the tell-tale strap around the back. Man.}}} GIRL...you had me scared for a minute there! ha ha! Glad to see that all is well...wishing you the best for your next little arrival (and for Creative Escape!).

Whatta cool Bday....mine's 7/7 too...but obviously a different year. The nice thing about having the same digits for your Bday is that everyone seems to remember it better. :)

Do take good care of yourself. It won't be long now so hang in there. BTW, how do you get to be a volunteer for CE? Is that a silly question? Hope not! :)

Heidi,
Now all you need is for your baby boy to be born at 7:07...! That is great about Cassie having a little boy, I didn't even know she was pregnant.
I love reading your blog and am so happy for you that your CE stuff is coming along!

Heidi! I totally went through it with Chloe & Gabby being a year apart. But I didn't have a nanny OR a cleaning lady, ha ha! Hence all the great scrapbook layouts of the two of them covered in mud, sharpie pen, etc. Now they're 7 & 8, time flies. Irish twins are the best! We've all come a long way since the "Memory Lane" days. Peace out & good luck! ~Yvonne
