I don’t talk about my “year to remember” class that I am teaching at big picture scrapbooking much… I guess it’s cause while I am teaching, the stuff I am actually doing is weeks and weeks ahead of what I am showing the class… so I get all excited about something I am working on, and then I can’t show it to anyone for 2 months, cause then it would ruin the surprise, or throw the whole timeline out of whack…
But this month has been a really powerful subject…for me, and I think also for students in the class… each month there is a different “life challenge” that we start out with. And then all the projects and stuff I teach are related in some way to that message. this month, the message is about CHANGE. After all, change is really the ONLY constant in our lives. It happens all the time. it’s the only thing we can really count on! and for most of us… maybe we resist change a little. Maybe it’s nice to get into a routine that you don’t have to think about, you don’t have to make adjustments or alterations… you just can go with it! so, then when change comes about, it’s a bump in the road, throws us off… etc.
Anyway… I have been contemplating change a lot. I thought that having Capri would be a major change, after not having a baby for so long… and well, I was right! And TWO babies… In one year…will require MORE change. More adaptation. And with that change comes necessary re-evaluation of what is most important, what is highest on the priority list…I admit to being one that is somewhat resistant to change.
Anyway, this page represents the ART challenge for this month… and is a precious reminder to me…that ‘change is good’… I used my butterfly stuff… as a reminder that “if it weren’t for change, we wouldn’t have butterflies”… course, if you think about all that stuff metaphorically … it’s good stuff!
if you are in my Y2R class, and you have completed your layout, and posted it on your blog... i would love you to post your link in my comments so that everyone can see your interpretation!

Thanks!

I never looked so cute when I was pregnant! The layout is very fresh and energetic. Lots of changes with two babies, yet different when you have older children and extra eyes and hands to help out. You might even be able to fit a shower or two in! ;)
