monday happiness...

Ah, Monday. Img_7252
I love it! I took some time last night to write a to-do list and set some goals for the week! I have a full week work-wise…the older 3 kids have a Chinese tutor in the morning for 2 hours, and then they are going to an afternoon day camp! Busy is good. I went out for a run this morning and for the first time I used this!! What is it you ask? And why do I have a piece of scrapbook paper on my shoe? I had to use it to make a little make-shift holder for my nike+ipod sensor. I don’t have the ‘official’ shoes that you are supposed to put it in, so it’s on this cute little pouch. If you haven’t seen one of these little beauties…this sensor goes in your shoe, and tracks how far you go, and how fast (it's about $29USD). Then you plug a receiver into your i-pod, and in addition to groovin’ along on your run, your time, distance and caloric expenditure is being tracked and stored. There is a nice voice that tells you how long you have been running how far, and how fast! I was quite delighted with it. I ran 4.11 miles. And I burned 430 calories. I have been trying to get back into running shape…I had a little foot injury, but I am feeling good again.  It’s always a bit of an adventure running here- but I am happy just to get out of the house. I really look forward to the time to myself. the weather really reminds me of running at the beach. It’s really flat everywhere here…it’s totally humid, and nice, but not HOT. As I run, I try to imagine being in Newport, running along the boardwalk…I think I just need to download some ocean sounds and I would be there… my own little escape! (can you tell I am missing our beach trip?) ocean or no ocean... this makes me happy! so easily entertained!

a peek inside...

So I have been working on things I can’t share.
Rude. I know! So I thought I would share a little about my Beijing studio- it’s always a total disaster…especially when I am creating. but I did clean up a bit this morning, and so I can see my table. That makes me feel good.  what I would REALLY like to have in here are hot pink walls… but I haven’t made the time to do that. I do have a few inspiring things hung on the walls… and I always get asked about some of my organization tips.
Comptuer_wall This is the wall above my computer. I have my 9x9 calendar that I am 2 months behind on (that is my project for tomorrow!) and some simple frames from IKEA that I have filled w/ some things that inspire me. I read them every day. I have a photo that was taken of me at Memory Trends a few years ago- the hotel was in renovation, and there were all these signs that said ‘the best is yet to come’…I love that motto! I think that it’s something I like to tell myself…as I am always pushing and wanting to grow, progress and learn…I like to remind myself of that. the other stuff I designed and printed onto photo paper, and stuck in the frames. Really easy, and I really like them. then I got 3 clocks at IKEA… they are set to 3 different time zones. You can imagine, they are very important!
Make_happiness Ornate_ikea_frame Inspiration_quote Love this big  frame from ikea. I just made a simple photo collage of my fav. Photos to go in it. the size is a little weird…so this seemed like the best option…
And this is my little piece of home. My ‘goodbye AZ’ photo. taken the day before we left. I admit to having a little pang of homesickness everytime I look at it. but when I look at it, I am also filled with amazement at the change, growth and adventure that has filled the last 9 or so months.

This is my big magnet board. I love magnet boards. It gets out of control, filled with ideas and tidbits that I don’t want to forget. I put inspiring stuff up there, and when I look at it, it seems to drive my creativity. Really cool that way. right now my new website is feeling consuming and overwhelming.. but we are plugging away. i probably should have cleaned this all up and made it look really pretty, but i just snapped it tonight. so imagine it really pretty! wink.
Mag_board_2
Desk This is my cool mirror. It’s a favorite quote of mine, that I found in the ‘bloom’ book (compendium)- “may you be truly blessed to always glitter with a radiance that shines from deep within you.  Barbara Becker Holstein”. I got this mirror at Ikea, and Emily has a friend that has a vinyl cutting business, and they did this for me. those of you from my year-long BPS class will recognize this! I LOVE it.
Mirror
Whenever people ask me how I organize my stuff, I have to laugh a little to myself, because what seems organized to ME, and what IS organized to other people is not usually the same thing. if I can find it, it’s organized!! So, here are just a few of my solutions… they mostly involve Cropper Hopper. I LOVE 12” vertical storage for my Bazzill  cardstock. I don’t really like it for printed paper. I have paper trays for that, and I have it stored by manufacturer, then I can usually find what I am looking for. And I admit to having favorites. (a lot of favorites!). I also use 12” vert. storage for my new lines, as everything comes in 12x12. I put the lines together in a paper envelope (also cropper hopper) and then in the vert. storage.
Paper  as for embellishments, I have switched drastically. Since my space here is way more limited than it was in AZ, I totally revamped my system. I used to only store ribbons in little baggies on rings. now, I store EVERYTHING that way… it’s SO great for me! I keep same things on same rings, so they are pretty easy to locate. Easy to get on and off, and add to. And I just throw the bundle in a drawer. It
would be better to hang it on hooks, but the drawer is better at the moment.  i feel like i can keep a TON of stuff in a very small place
BaggiesThe other thing i use a LOT of are chipboard letters…I like to keep them handy. you know those photo storage boxes that you can get really cheap-? But they are heavier-duty than just a shoe box? Well, they fit the alphabets perfect. you can see I have an abundance of them. I like to mix and match styles, and colors… so it’s just nice to have them all together. this comes out everytime I scrapbook.
Chipboard_letters Another favorite Cropper Hopper item is the 7x12 expo, and the 5x7 expo… I can put all kinds of things in the 7x12.. but ESPECIALLY the masks… stickers, silhouettes, rub ons, paper scraps.. all kinds of things. I think these are great to have! I sing their praises all the time. if I print  photos, this is where I put them  minus the stack, that is out to taunt me. for my work station, I bought 2 chest of drawers from Ikea, and put them back to back to make an island in the middle of my room. It’s nice and big… and I have a total of 16 drawers, that are just really perfect. I am very happy with it.
7x12_expo 5x7_expo2 my rub-on alphabet comes w/ a little pink file folder to keep all the fonts organized...i keep them together with the other rub-ons in this very glamorous 'glad ware' container! it just happen to fit in the space available, and worked out great. i like to keep my regular rub on sheet in their packaging and cut out what i need from there, and keep the rest of it intact. so i just store like this...
Gladware_storage Rub_ons_cut_out Speaking of inspiration… and just fun stuff…
Here is what I am in love with that I found at the market:
Silver converse and hot, bright colored purses! SO cute. I have been carrying the green one! I like to buy bright silk scarves and tie them on to fit my mood. It’s almost a bowling bag style bag.. but is working great for a diaper bag, as well as for travel. love it.

Fab_purses sorry, are those not the cutest funnest colors?
so inspiring. and i love the SHINeY!

on my list...

Ok,  blogging is on my to-do list, but I have to be quick since there are also 42 other line items. I have crossed off 11 so far, and feeling good. and it’s Thursday……. I am thankful for the energy. I will tell you this- I think that it’s energy that comes from creating. I think that this week is a realization for me that creating-actual hands on, time to create and think and PLAY is necessary for well-being. It makes me happy, relieves my stress and lightens my mood. Even though I am totally operating on small amounts of sleep…I need creative time. and because my scrapbooking is also my ‘work’, sometimes it is really hard to separate that time, and the energy needed. I find it hard to justify just ‘creating’ because there are so many actual tasks that are required of me, in a smaller and smaller available time slots. It seems weird that I am just now realizing it. or maybe I have experienced it in the past, but with my different set of circumstances, i am learning new coping mechanisms! Chuckle. Whatever the case may be… I just feel happy and energetic and it’s a welcome change. Img_7132
so last night we got to go and see the BYU ball room dance team which was a really fun and clever show. My favorite part was that the womens’ shoes were sparkly. That really did it for me! smile. We got home a little late-ish and I was so tired, but as I was getting ready to go to bed, an idea for a page layout popped into my mind, and I had the perfect photo for it (though it was not in the stack). This is my sweetie niece Aspen. She is just a few months older than Capri. She is a tough one to catch too! I love this photo, for me it totally captures her little vibe. She is an on-the-go-girl. Chuckle-this layout was inspired by a combination of monopoly and again,  jen lowe (wink). I love how she cut up the paper (she used the turquoise version of this paper) and got so many cool unique looks. I wanted to make a bit of a ‘gameboard’ layout. I cut up papers, used journaling spots, writers block and then just put little embellishments here and there.  This could go so many different ways, and be so fuN! seems like a fun idea for a travel page, or just a daily life page…   By the time I finished this one, I was wide awake, and flipping through my printed paper stash again.
This photo of Connor on valentines day WAS IN THE STACK! This page I used Scenic Route, and Daisy D’s paper… mixed with some black chipboard pieces. I cut up one of my CHA winter overlays- just cut the corners off.  Such a sweet photo of him.
Img_7135 Ok, blogging, check!
next: clean up desk:
Desk

I did a little more scrapbooking last night… still riding the wave of creative flow offered from the basic grey ‘recess’ line…I love how both of these turned out. first I did the ‘beach trip’ one- this is one of my very favorite photos from last year’s beach trip. it’s the first shot I snapped when we pulled into town, and the kids rip out of the car and onto the sand. I recall not even asking them to pose… chuckle. So classic. I just kept coming back to this paper, and I really wanted the vine from my carefree line on there- It’s the perfect color… so I BROKE DOWN and cut it out with an exacto knife. Not usually something I make time, or patience for, but I wanted it! I really love how it looks there…the ‘broken china’ is my favorite color of distress ink, and matches perfect with this paper- I inked the edges, and did some dots w/ a mask. I really love how you can control the distress ink. without fail, when I am working on beach/summer/pool photos, my first instinct is to reach for my jar of tapes… yea- they are old, but they are good. I love all the colors on this one. And then the stark black and white. This one really makes me smile; and I am missing the beach in particular! Both because I LOVE beach trips, and because I get some of my most favorite photos at the beach. Smile. I am thankful for the good memories to draw from.
Img_7115 This second page is 2 photos that I LOVE, LOVE. I think that I am choking back the tears EVERY time I look at it. I feel my heart in my throat, and just melt. It’s taken on Connor’s blessing day- a day that I just wasn’t on my a-game, and didn’t hardly take any photos. (regrets). Grammy Swapp gave him that precious white knit outfit. Quincy has been so sweet with him from day one. i decided to go w/ 2 different methods of emphasizing the photos. the first was to enlarge, and print it as a 5x7. The second photo, I decided to shrink, and repeat. Same photo, 4 times. Again, note that I was making use of stuff on the table! (same chipboard letters, jar of tapes, dots mask, distress inks). And you can tell I was on a kick w/ that label shape- this layout I used the font werks stamp as a frame, on the other one, I just free-handed the label shape for the title.
Img_7114
I broke out a new journaling pen…it really makes a huge difference to use a new pen. Buy one, you’ll be happy you did.  (pencil first, wink). I hadn’t had my colored pencils out for awhile…used the red on both layouts- lettering for the beach trip, and to fill in the stamp frame on the ‘adore’ layout.

It’s only 11pm, and my eyes are burning. It’s been a full day,i was up way too late last night.. so no scrapbooking tonight. sigh. Sweet dreams.

sunday creating...

I would like to say that I have been whittling away at the ‘stack’ of photos, but alas… no- I printed all these today. I think that the problem is that ever since I got my EPSON R1800, I am so totally spoiled with being able to print the shot I want, in the size I want, WHEN I want!! I honestly can’t imagine my life without it! a 12x12 printer is a must-have! And while they probably have a more-newer, fancier version than mine out by now, I would highly encourage the splurge. (any holidays coming up?) I printed these photos out earlier today- we had a bunch of friends over for lunch after church today…(more ‘goodbyes’.) and I have just been watching the photos all day, but still not really knowing I what I wanted to do with them. today was a really good day! good church (all of the BYU ball room dance team- lots of them- were in our branch today, all in cute black and white matching dresses. We get to see them perform wed. so I am excited about that… on a funny side note, colton whispered to eric and asked if all college girls were so pretty!)  yummy lunch, got a nap!, hard-core MONOPOLY game for most the afternoon into the evening, ending badly for everyone but Colton who had hotels on Park Lane and the other blue one, and had all 4 railroads. Chuckle. I can hardly believe I have kids old enough to play a serious game of monopoly. We had left-overs for dinner, which (I know, totally out of character for me!normally i HATE left overs) meant cleaning out the fridge, and not many dinner dishes! Yay. Once the babies were down, I called ‘scrapbook time’ and everyone left me alone.
Play_ball I did this one of Connor playing ball first tonight. this is one that I wanted to do to just try to capture the way it felt to me, watching him obsess about playing baseball with the boys. I took a whole bunch of photos, trying to get a good one, but the light was low, and he would NOT hold still! But the combination of the little photos speak to me. and will remind me. of just how it feels to watch him- growing, moving and so happy. I wanted to use that turquoise swirl paper, cause it’s been on my mind (jen lowe, lol) and what I loved about what jen did was all the different ways that paper can cut apart. I wound up with just this strip on a piece of Basic Grey paper. Super simple ‘addressing the background’.  I also mentioned that I have been converted to ‘glossy accents’ by Ranger thanks to my friend Tim Holtz. It is by far the best thing I have used to adhere ‘ghost’ stuff… and well, everything else. I love it! I didn’t realize it was a great adhesive… thought it was just for dimensional shine like diamond glaze etc. Letters anyway-so never fear on glueing down ghost- I used that to attach the lime green ghost letters(ball) to the page. now, you will laugh, but there are some things in my line that even though I designed them, and think they are cool, have never used them! gasp. I know. Well, there are not very many actually- but the chipboard letters that are called ‘mixed up’ the printing is different on each letter- I am pretty sure this is the first time I have used them… and I think they are perfect for this layout(PLAY). I filled up ½ the back of this page just writing more things I want to remember about these shots, and Connor right now. I feel afraid I am going to forget.
Sister The next page I really like how it turned out. so soft and pretty. I think I mentioned that Capri is totally impossible to photograph. So sad, cause she is SO cute. Anyway, with quincy’s help, I snapped this one, and played with the color a little. It turned out so soft and pretty, I wanted a really soft layout- can you believe I didn’t use pink? (tim, I CAN diversify)…I think that this is the perfect color of yellow. I used the brown butterfly overlay, and a piece of my minds eye paper…and some of my gold metallic rub-ons to ‘address the background’. The benefit of scrapbooking on a messy table, is that sometimes there is stuff just sitting on your desk that you didn’t really pull out to use specifically, but it’s sitting there, and sorta makes it’s way onto your page! that was the case for that rounded corner piece that goes around quincy’s face. It’s from the world travelers glossy extras. The yellow banner is from the carefree glossy extras.
I also think it’s funny how one color that you use carries itself to the next project. that goldish color bazzill (wink) that I used for the photo mat for this page, also turned out to be the perfect color for the next page, that has a totally different feel, and vibe, but I must have been feeling that color!
Sweet_dreamer I have been wanting to use this paper since I first got it. I really like this ‘recess’ collection from Basic Grey. I even used the punch outs, and the letter stickers. These were awesome letter stickers! So skinny, but when I stuck them down, they held well enough I could sand them. the top says ‘what are you dreaming sweet dreamer’…I am sure he is dreaming about all kinds of sports. He loves balls. So cute.
So, if you need a summer get-scrapbooking-challenge, to start working on your ‘stack’… here are a few suggestions:
1.    pull out a few photos you are feeling drawn or attached to, and make them visible for a little while before you go into work.
2.    Create a layout with a simple background and lots of small photos- collaged!
3.    Push yourself out of  your comfort zone, and mess with a favorite photo with some digital tricks you’ve been wanting to try! Add a brush, or just mess w/ the colors!
4.    Pick a piece of paper that you really love, but didn’t want to USE!! And USE IT.
5.    Write how the photo makes you FEEL rather than/ or in addition to what was going on in the photo.
6.    Block out some TIME to scrapbook. tell people not to bug you. ENJOY it. this is your summer too you know!!

Hmm, long post. I should go to bed.

not tired

can you believe i am not tired?
so... thought i'd post. this was today. nothing like scrapbooking that day's activities that night.
smile.
that doesn't happen very often.
but i love a good 8 1/2 x 11 page.
why do i like it so much? not sure.
but you should do what you like.

i like that this photo captured the very goofy vibe of our afternoon.
better than the "stop-calling-your-brother/sister-names" vibe i am trying to forget.
that is the good thing about scrapbooking- selective memory keeping! (wink...and you thought you were the only one!)
this  photo is not good either- but you get the idea.
and by the way TIM... i am totally converted to 'glossy accents' for my adhesive. good dry time. good consistency. little goes a long way. (where have i been?)
g'night.

rested

I feel like I have been in hyper-sleep! I got 12+ hours last night after I went to bed with Capri, and woke up at 7am to a fabulously beautiful new day. it’s been muggy and cloudy/hazy/gunky since I got back, and only today have we seen blue skies…we lucked out cause we were planning a little hike up the backside of one of the wall sites. Eric got out for a long mtn.bike ride, as he is training for a 2 day mtn. bike race in Mongolia in a few weeks… and came home just in time to head out again! I have never lived in this type of hot, humid climate. It’s just heavy. I feel like I am sweating and overheating all the time! (I think I am partial to the ‘dry’ AZ heat! smirk…) the trail was one that is used by locals to guide tourists by horseback up to the wall. It was a perfect length and difficulty level for us.  We got all the way up there, and realized we only brought one baby back pack, so Capri got a little taste of hiking as well! she loved it. I can’t believe how lush and green it is here. Almost tropical.  Yesterday afternoon we went to our first movie here… turns out there is a really nice (nice) theatre not too far from our house and we saw ‘kung fu panda’ (in English even- they have English and Chinese showings) Cory and I had seen it in AZ last week, and loved it! so we were so excited to take everyone else to the show. It’s a thumbs-up from us!Stack
so I have this huge stack of photos…it’s just been sitting on my shelf. Not organized, or even categorized… just sitting there. taunting me. SO, I have accepted the challenge. I am going to scrapbook all these photos. some are from before we got here, and some are since. If you look closely, you might see something you have never seen before! (but i am not admitting anythingi yet) i’ll start off with one from tonight: ‘capture capri’. i love photocorners. i love to use them to set off individual photos. even if it's just one or 2 corners. this is almost all from my recent 'carefree' line.  The photo is not great. I will do a better job of photographing them! I finally got all the right converters and adapters and transformers for my photo lights… that is good news! What a pain!
I am working on one other layout tonight.. we’ll see how far it gets. Chuckle…it’s from photos we took today- so not exactly within the ‘stack of photos’ challenge… but still on the right track. Stay tuned!
Capture_capri by the way... i saw something very cool today! i was impressed... see it here:
jen lowe's blog
i think just looking at what she did made me want to pull something this shade of blue out and PLAY ALONG! thanks for inspiring me today JEN! smile...! look for a little something from me in the mail!

if anyone else has something to inspire me with... i'd love to see it! email me!!! just look at that stack of photos... i need all the inspiration i can get! (ANYTHING!)

thurs. and i can't believe it

It’s Thursday, and I have been back in Beijing since Monday afternoon. I am not really sure what I have been up to since then, although I have been busy, and trying to recover. Sleeping was a very low priority while I was in AZ, and it has switched to become a very high one.  I am working very hard to get my body, brain and stomach back on Beijing time. the one thing that I love about jet-lag coming back this way is that you automatically wake up early. Like really early (4am, 5am, 6am). This means that you can get up and get some work done before the kids wake up. Now, why this can’t become a regular occurrence for me, I do not know. I am just not wired to be a morning person, as much as I wish I was. The weather has been really dreary since I have been back, but not too hot, so I’ll take it. it is however, making me miss sunny az, as if having dinner with friends, teaching scrapbook classes, letting cory play with his friends, getting my hair cut, visiting my house, hanging with family, going to the temple, shopping at Costco and target aren’t enough!  I am feeling a little homesick…but SO happy to be sleeping in my bed, and waking up to my sweet kids! and…despite the fact that my life is in no way close to ‘normal’ (or what I see in my head as ‘normal’) this feels more ‘normal’ than anything. (that probably makes NO sense). It was a great trip. it was a delight to travel with Cory. He is a great kid- totally easy going, fun-loving, sleep anywhere, eat anything type of guy. He can come with me anywhere, anytime!

We did wrap up our CE preview day last Saturday and can I just say… fabulous! It all made me happy! I am so excited for the event.. It’s going to rock. Totally has a great mix of projects and teachers… as far as preview day goes, the coolest thing is to watch other teachers teach- I feel totally inspired. So much so, that I have even been scrapbooking! I have a few pages that I can show, and others that I can’t… just yet.
So satuday we heard first from jenni bowlin. I really admire her, and from her project you really get a glimpse inside this creative, clever girl. I was really impressed with how she shared pieces of herself, and in such a down-to-earth relaxed way.  I have to say, that I really love her products..! and the colors she used are totally happy and fun! (and not pink! And I still liked it wink!) Jessica Guthrie was up next- now she is the one that won our ‘talent search’ contest… I really love her project…she taught using 2 things that I had never used before, and I was so totally inspired and excited when I was done! between now and CE, the girl has to pack up and move across the country (ugh)… I so appreciated all her being there, amid it all! Last was Tim Holtz… and he is awesome. Everytime I watch or listen to him…I learn so much! just the simplest things that he demonstrates are so enlightening to me. yep. You will LOVE his project too! He took off straight to Ranger U… I HAVE to figure out how to get to ranger U. someday. I just can’t afford to NOT go!?  anyway,  It was indeed sad to pack all my creations into that big box, knowing it won’t be retrieved for 2 months.

When I got back to Beijing, all kinds of deadlines were upon me. catalog, website, samples for the show… plus working on more CE stuff and my little trip to Australia!
i did take some time just to make some fun, quick and easy scrapbook pages. – it’s something that I think I just need to do regularly. I let myself get so bogged down with stuff that seems really serious, and important compared to just ‘scrapbooking’. but when I was home, in AZ, I had to try to find some stuff at my house that I needed. We have everything boxed up, and so it meant going through lots of boxes. As I was there for about 45 minutes maybe, I was so overwhelmed with memories… and feelings. Mostly the feeling of ‘comfort’. Just how HOME is supposed to feel. Even when we weren’t there. my memories weren’t of big events, or even special occasions… it was more like how it felt to bound down the stairs when the doorbell rings… or just lay in my bed, or stare out at the desert while I do dishes. My memories were being in my pajamas and hanging out… I realized that those are the memoires… and more specifically FEELINGS that I wanted to hold onto. How it FELT there. how it FEELS here. And feelings are all kinds of memories rolled together. I don’t want this time, this unique time in my life to be lost. So I want to do a better job of that.  anyway.. here are a few pages that I did…quick ones. I have vowed to myself to do that more. Chuckle, we’ll see how that works out.

a different perspective

my mom and dad came to beijing to visit for about 3 weeks in may... it was so fun to have them come- maybe you read a little about our time together here on my blog... my mom has been chronicling their adventures on her blog since they have been back, and she has had time to go through all her millions of photos, and get her body back on US time. if you are interested in reading about beijing from her perspective, you can check it out here.
i am so glad that they were 'brave' enough to come and see us.

sorry, it's been awhile

so i am in arizona.
it's been a fabulous visit, and unfortunately, it's coming to an end. cory is here with me, and we have been having a blast! it has been so fun to be back in town, and have a chance to just hang out here! one week may not seem like a long visit, but when my last visit was under 24 hours, this is much better! i feel so lucky to get to catch up with friends, and eat some good mexican food... i have felt a little bummed that there is no salsa to be had because of the tomato/salmonella issue.
i came to town specifically for the Creative Escape Preview Day- but i also got a chance to teach a couple of classes at scrapbooks, etc here in mesa-such a delight to see so many familiar faces, and get to do what i love to do. smile. just really feels so great to be in the valley of the sun! i am even welcoming the 110 degree weather. i got a little pool time even. (the big 2 hours- better than nothing). the other good news was that i could get my hair cut- and when i was there, my stylist, heather, told me that my hair finally feels 'not pregnant'. it's funny that she can tell a difference.

So today was the first day of preview day- i kicked off the morning, and then we heard from Kelly Goree, Janet Hopkins and Laurie Stamas. Tomorrow is Tim Holtz, Jenni Bowlin and Jessica Guthrie. preview day is so great! it's so fun to have a no-pressure 'dress rehearsal' for the big event. it's going to be awesome this year. i am so excited... and it means i'll be back in just a couple months (time flies). i snapped a photo of the volunteers in Bazzill wearhouse where we were having our preview classes...don' t you just love those stacks and stacks of paper? and the pink aprons! Tim did inform me that he has maybe arrived at his quota of 'pink'... i just have to thank all that were so involved in helping us get preview day pulled together! we have the most awesome sponsors... for my class specifically: prima is providing GORGEOUS papers...and Ranger is making sure i have the ink we need! of course the Bazzill people have been amazing, and don't you just LOVE that there is a color of Bazzill for EVERY possible need! thank you to everyone that took care stuff for CE at Advantus! thanks guys.... my class and janet's class uses product that isn't even released yet (not until July at CHA summer...um, i guess that is my next US jaunt). it's SO fun to pass out a bunch of new papers... and have everyone ask 'who's paper is this??' (the bottom strips were cut off so they would fit in the kits)... so fun to be able to share the secrets. of course all voulenteers have to sign confidentiality agreements, and after they create their fabulous project, they have to go and place them all in a box with their name on it, which will go high up on shelves until they get them at the event! we have to keep our secrets!! you know i love that surprise! we have LOTS of fun, new surprises at CE... my favorite part.
Of course huge thanks to Basic Grey for their generosity for kelly's class... Laurie is teaching a class to highlight one of the newest additions to the Bazzil line coupled with Scenic Route papers, and it was just really cool to play with and imagine the possibilities. i am looking forward to seeing Tim, Jenni and Jessica in action tomorrow! i am not going to give any more info as we will start spilling our sneaks after preview day...
my jet lag is killing me. i have to go to bed.
