it seems like it's been awhile since i was able to get to some CREATIVE time... just ME time! i finally did...stayed up TOO late, but just SO needed the QUIET and the PEACE.
ok, so i got one of the "kits of the month" from Tattered Angels...it's their "HOME for the Holiday's Glimmer kit"... you can check it out and see all that is included. i am planning on doing another LIVE web show to show off some of my new 'GLIMMER SKILLS'! they have been teaching me the basics, and after about 5 hours in the middle of the night, i think that i am officially addicted! the results are so UNIQUE and absolutely amazing. i have to admit, that until i really started to learn HOW to use these products... i was DOING IT WRONG... i mean, yea- i get that you can spray the mist on and get amazing sparkle and color... but i just had no IDEA what the possibilities were. how cool to work there with the CREATOR and the EDUCATORS of Glimmer mist and get personal tutorials! now i can pass it on to YOU!
if you'd like to play along... you can order a kit HERE, and you'll have what you need to get started in the wide world of Glimmer Mist!! SO much FUN..
here are a few of my FAVORITE colors so far that i used on this project:
ok... on to COOL PROJECT #2
so, maybe you noticed us talking A LOT about the Silhouette SD cutting machine on the House of 3 blog... and this morning, i FINALLY got this all fired up and cutting! AMAZING!! so this is my first cutting tool... (i know i am so behind the times), but we are so excited to be working with Silhouette creating art that you can download to your computer and CUT!! so- if you have a PC, then it's really straight forward and EASY to get going... i only have a MAC, so it took a little bit to figure it out, and now i am SO STOKED!!! this is seriously COOL stuff.
for this project i cut the: birdie, PEACE (in my handwriting), crown, and berry branch- these are all House of 3 elements that can be downloaded from the Silhouette online store.
ok- so this card i made using the Bazzill clear paper. (i love this stuff)... it's thicker and more crisp than regular acetate- you can't print on it, but i have used it for clear covers and cards etc... i cut it to a 8x6 and folded it in 1/2
i adhered the little birdie that i cut out of b&w dotty paper (scenic route) and the cute berry branch out of red dotty paper (scenic route) and i glued them into the inside of the card ( i used glossy accents). then i adhered the word 'peace' and the crown (with added jewels) to the FRONT of the card.
i then just jotted 'merry christmas' w/ a sharpie on the inside of the card.
um. sorry. i love it!
ps: great ideas on their blog HERE
