ok, everyone... really- tonight i am REALLY doing a LIVE webshow... man, the last 2 weeks have been CRAZY whirlwind, and i am so happy to be home! i am working, working to be all ready for tonight! Tonight's show is a little peek into the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) show that i just returned from today!
basically, me and my House of 3 girls picked our top 5 favorites of the show to talk to and take photos of and share the inspiration! i have some really FUN videos and photos and i have learned how to drop them into our feed and show it all off! --ok, well, ERIC has figured it out for me!
SO... in about 2 hours from NOW ... same time, same place:
TIME: 6pm Pacific, 7pm Mountain, 9pm Eastern
PLACE: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/heidi-swapp-live
join in the chat.. we'll be giving some cool NEW stuff away!! YAY!
Heidi has been at CHA all week and has spent the day getting video of the House of 3 top 5 picks, however due to some technical difficulties (read no internet access) is unable to put them up for the web show tonight. After she gets back to Salt Lake tomorrow afternoon we will feverishly work to get them put together and ready for a live show tomorrow night at 7pm (mst). She also is bringing home some awesome new products and samples to use for giveaways during the broadcast (tattered angels, dear lizzy, my minds eye and more) so you will not want to miss this show.

I think that I managed to squeeze 3 full days worth of junk into ONE day today… it has been NON-stop! My flight got in SO late last night, and at this point, I just have NO time for jet lag. I only have today to get re-set to leave: unpack, laundry, groceries, repacking, kits, samples, make-n-take prep and the all important just holding the littles while they watch Dora. I will say that coming home was quite an ego boost! Everyone was so happy to see me. all the souvenirs were a hit—everyone loves a small scale Eiffel tower. (especially ones in snow globes and with little blinking lights).
Lookie what I received in the mail while I was gone… I knew that Lisa Leonard was sending me a little surprise…and I knew that she had asked for my kids’ names…but apart from that, I had no idea what she had in mind. When I opened the box, inside there was not 1 but 2 small jewelry boxes…
I was totally overwhelmed with this necklace!!! I LOVE it so much! I have always wanted a necklace or jewelry piece with my kids’ names… but I just thought I had too many kids- and I didn’t want to have one with 5 pieces (who do you put in front?). I just LOVE how it turned out! so …
Attention: HUSBANDS…….this is a GREAT v a l e n t i n e surprise!
Also included in my little box was one of Lisa’s ‘illuminate’ pieces. it’s the chandelier necklace with the word: ‘sparkle’. As you can well imagine…it’s just so perfect as well! I love it. **you can also access her site from the button on the right-under 'sponsors'.
Lisa would like to give away one of these spectacular
‘illuminate’ necklaces to one of my blog readers… and guess what, you can
choose what word you want on it. It’s so cute-I love the little crystal
dangly. So…what word would you
choose?? Leave a comment, the comments
will be closed Sunday evening…and a winner chosen randomly! Check out her site and her BLOG (very inspiring)
and see if there is anything totally PERFECT for you—then send your hubby or
mom or dad or kids or grandkids a LINK!! I LOVE knowing something that someone
I love really would like! You can’t go wrong here!
I’ll be back blogging Sunday night after the first day of CHA! I am planning an AWESOME –cHa wrap up LIVE web show for Wednesday night!! So be sure to plan on joining in!

Well, I thought that last night was our last night in Paris, but it seems as though we have been granted another day. we had some itinerary confusion. – as we were leaving for the airport, we are pulling out the boarding passes etc… and realize that the flight was NOT at 4:45pm.. but rather 11:45am. (this fantastic discovery happened at noon). NOT GOOD. we were both SO SHOCKED! So then the phone calls to the airline, frantic efforts to re-book and REALIZATION of the domino effect on the plans, responsibilities and EVERYTHING that needs to happen in the few days prior to CHA……..which ALL pale in comparison to the fact that my kids are missing their mom, and the dad was SO ready for the mom to be home. I called and listened to their sweet little voices – and I feel SO bad. Isn’t it funny how ONE DAY seems like so much when you are mentally set on something!?
Could be worse… we are re-booked. Next flight isn’t until 24 hours later. And we get an extra day in Paris and night in a Heavenly Bed.
After the DRAMA… we mapped out a path to a vintage ribbon and trims store that we had hoped to check out on the first day we were here, but had no luck. We were within walking distance so we followed the walking directions on the iphone. What an amazing place. I mean, just look at the cash register?! SO VINTAGE!
Lol… and a little p r i c e y. we are talking 20 Euros for a meter of tulle (it was the very soft, supple tulle.. but still that is $28/yard basically. YIKES! It was just an amazing store. Ribbon, lace, tulle, flowers, buttons .. the works!
We spent the rest of the day wandering! The rain quit and
the sun even was peeking through the clouds. We walked and walked and walked.
It was fun to explore. The architecture, the fashion, the language, the restaurants…
SUCH an awesome adventure!
You know… as I sit here, and look out at the Eiffel Tower- it’s a little mind blowing how ‘iconic’ it is… it seems to speak to everyone, at least a little… but then, when you compare it with all the AMAZING buildings and churches, museums, etc, etc…I guess it’s just the sheer contrast of the tower that makes it stand out so much. It’s just SO spectacular and inspiring. Unique is good—that whole ‘be your own kind of beautiful- it’s working for the Eiffel tower LOL… there, a little bit of philosophizing for ya!
Ok, hopefully… next time I ‘tweet’ it will be boarding the plane coming home!

woke up to a very wet and rainy Paris... must be sad to see us go! smile...
but i can't wait to get home to my HOME! don't you just love going HOME! it's so nice to have a few days when the only person you have to take care of if yourself, and then you are ready to just get back! although... for me, i only have ONE DAY until we are off and running again to get to CHA. definitely NOT an ideal timing situation, but i am SO thankful to all those who are helping to make this possible. Thanks to LaRane, Cam,Katie and Clark, Cassie, Kiley, Emily and Susan... and a HUGE r e s o u n d i n g thank you goes out to my very supportive and wonderful husband that seems to be able to manage SO much even w/ 5 kiddos, AND be my ROCK! you are the best babe... i love you! i wish you were here. i love to travel with you the most!
i also owe a HUGE thank you to my 3 oldest children... they have stepped up and filled in and helped so much with the littles it sounds like. we are so blessed by the dynamics of our family...although it seems crazy a lot, somehow, someway... it works!!
Eric has been doing some research and fact finding about the webshow possibilities and we are refining the process a bit...he has learned some cool new tricks!! i can't wait to try them out...HOWEVER, my travel arrangements do NOT get me home in time to broadcast tonight... SO, i will NOT be broadcasting Jan 20. i have to admit, i read my original literary WRONG, and realized only yesterday that i don't get home until late.
I AM SORRY for any inconvenience... but i will be working throughout CHA to bring to you some awesome CHA finds and demos and COOL NEW WEB SHOW FEATURES next week... so PLEASE FORGIVE ME!! it will be worth the wait!!
OUR house of 3 'sweet deal' on the Silhouette is still available through the end of the week! so hurry and take advantage of that! i am working on some NEW bits and pieces for the Silhouette store! and can't wait to share their NEW cool CHA releases!
