I am so happy to be home!!
I felt like I was away forever! What a DELIGHT to come home on Mother’s Day! I think that the kids were genuinely happy to see me, even before they asked me what I brought home for them!! I came home to an amazingly clean house, 2 gorgeous bouquets of fresh flowers and even a delicious dinner! Eric is a super-hero! He really pulled it off! I have a wonderful husband—I have been on that end of a traveling spouse my fair share… and it’s not easy, and not fun… I think that we have really come to appreciate one another and our unique roles as well as that whole- doing what you gotta do! I love him… and appreciate all that he does to support me.
i brought Connor home a stuffed snake from the Australia Zoo, and the "bula" shirt is from Grandma-he LOVEd it!
Grandma K sent these cute sundresses for the girls... they were a HUGE hit! they didn't even care about the lousy t-shirts i brought them!! LOL
Cory and Colton are just getting TOO COOL to pose for me!! but here is my sweet cory!
I think I am feeling a little overwhelmed as I think back on my crazy travels, as well as facing all that is here to take on now that I am home!
I do have to share a couple photos from our last few days in Oz.
Our last stop was Brisbane- and it was gorgeous! we had a day to play and we made the most of it by visiting the Australia Zoo and then went and had dinner at a super cute bistro on the beach… (perfect)
the zoo is like SUPER interactive... you could feed the elephants and feed the Koalas and Kangaroos... all the animals looked so healthy, happy and beautiful! it was a delight!
so the Koala thing was a highlight for sure! i admit, i paid the lousy $20 bucks to have my photo taken holding a Koala.. it was gorgeous! i loved it so much! it is as soft as it looks and just super sweet! seemed like i could have just rocked it to sleep! then i had to give it back! i thought that it smelled like eucalyptus! it was amazing to me to watch them so calm and just right there- no cages... just sitting in the trees.
Our group for Mistified was SO much fuN! they were LOVING the projects and learning the techniques… and really left us leaving on a high! People LOVE learning how to use Glimmer Mist, and it’s a delight to share it with them…course we shared a few tears as well as our passion for our wonderful, meaningful hobby!
I have a dear friend that lives in Brisbane- and we have been blessed enough to share many-a-scrapbook event together… she traveled with us to show off her new Jewelry line (Enjoy Jewellery)… we were lucky enough to be together for BOTH of our birthday’s… how fun is that!
I love that scrapbooking has given me some of the most precious friends in my life!
It was great to have Emily Waters.. she does SUCH a great job of keeping things TOGETHER and organized… THANK YOU EMILY for working so hard to make sure that Mistified was a success.. and a huge thank you to Wendy- and everyone at Tattered Angels… the kits, and products and especially the Glimmer Mist were all FANTASTIC! Tattered Angels is a class act! It takes dedicated and determined people to make it all happen!
i will tell you... i haven't laughed so much ...i don't think ever... we had a blast!
amazing memories...
Ok, much to do……..getting ready for a WEBSHOW!! Hope you’ll join me!

We have awoken to a fantastically beautiful day here in Brisbane! Well, I am still sitting in the hotel bed, and the lights are off, and we are all just catching up on some emails- but the sun is beating on the blinds, and shining through- the BIRDS sound amazing!! I wonder how many different kinds of birds are sitting right outside ! we are getting ready to go to the Steve Erwin Zoo today! So excited!
One of the funny things about being away- is the emails i get from my kids! I just have to share this cause it was a total CRACK up!! –so Colton had been asking me for a rugby shirt… and I was telling him that they are just way too expensive! –so he was going to have to be happy about just a t-shirt… so this is what he said in return:
“K but it better have like a kangaroo on the front of it!!
Like one of those signs on the right hand side! You know what? keep your money
and when you get back we can just go buy the colored shirt that the jersey is
an then we can Yudu onto it!! I am an Instein but I don't think I spelled his
name right. Haha
Bye
Love from my heart to yours...
Dadaddooooodddodododododdadadadadddasdadd jazz hands.... YYAA! haha
COLTON
Please write back A.S.A.P.”
So I don’t really know where that all came from!! How funny is that ?? “keep your money” that was funny!.........i'll be back later w/ Kangaroo pics!!

It’s Sunday night, and we are just gathering and organizing everything that we need for tomorrow morning’s “Mistified” event here in Sydney… today was such a beautiful day, and we had a chance to roam around a bit- check out the Sydney Opera House- WOW! It’s such an amazing building, and story…so fascinating! But I think that the best part of the day was just the ‘people watching’… there have been people from all walks of life- and the streets and cafes and parks were FULL of people out enjoying the day! we did finally get a good and full night’s sleep last night, and will again tonight, so we will be all rested up for tomorrow’s classes… BTW, we have figured out all our kits etc, and have been able to open a few more spots for Brisbane- so if you are interested, you can go HERE to the Tattered Angels website to register, and then email me HERE to let us know to count on you! and if you were UNABLE to attend Mistified, and you would like information on purchasing any of the kits… you can email me HERE, and you can purchase kits from us, and we can send them out while we are still here! that will save a ton on shipping. Just let me know if you have any questions!
just thought i'd update w/ a bunch of photos...here's wendy passing out my class kits... they are packed in these NEW boxes- they are just gorgeous! and you should SEE how absolutely packed the boxes are full of TONS of good stuff!!
look how fab this is!! it was my b-day on friday at Mistified... and my sweet friends arranged to have this huge plate of "lamingtons"... delish little cakes w/ choc. and coconut coverings!! so yum!
i LOVED visiting the Opera House- gorgeous!
now, this is a classic shot- here is wendy driving on the LEFT SIDE of the road! (i am trying not to be discriminatory by calling it the 'wrong' side of the road!) i was SO impressed w/ wendy's skills! she picked up the whole left side of the road like a champ!
the highlight of coming down to Australia is getting to see my sweet friend Chanel- how awesome it has been to have a few days w/ her! i feel so blessed to have such awesome friends!
so we ate dinner right at the water's edge by the opera house- the food was fantastic... and we had a great time- perfect weather! loving it!-um, no 'free' refills!
ok, must get some sleep ... big day tomorrow!
