i went to bed early last night after making a TO DO list about a million miles long- i am packing my car and leaving today - driving to ARIZONA for this week's CREATIVE ESCAPE!! i can hardly wait... i am feeling all the same emotions of previous years: a little nervous, feeling last minute pressure, and SO EXCITED> i am so looking forward to seeing all the TEACHERS who i LOVE!! and hanging out with my HOUSE Of 3 girls. we are so excited and have some AMAZING stuff planned!

we are doing another charity fund raiser this year... and again, i am delighted and inspired by the creative generosity from all those who participated this year... we'll be sharing the beautiful works of art that will be auctioned and raffled off at the event... they are just stunningly beautiful and inspiring... it's impossible to truly convey the gratitude that i feel to those took the time, and energy to dedicate to these projects, but please know - to each of you- that i am touched and appreciative! thank you for doing that! i am in love with how mine turned out- and kinda surprised... it kinda took on a life of it's own, and went a different direction that i had planned... here is a peek at one of the elements

scrapfest...

so this is the first year that i will be teaching at Archivers HUGE event... "Scrapfest!"... it's going to be here before you know it, so i wanted to give a heads up to any of you that may be planning on attending! it's SERIOUS: 70 different workshops, 30 companies with Make-N-Takes, crops and basically all the who's-who!! not to mention the SHOPPING! gasp... i have heard it's crazy!

i will be teaching for Tattered Angels, using some of my own mistable products... we'll be making a really cool book, of course using the fall colors that i love so much!

we'll be working with this stuff: foil chips, my custom cutout tags, crepe ribbon, mistable diecuts, the add-on pages... and the fall colors: Dragonfly, Pomegranate, Apple, Sugar Maple, Autumn Nights

and transforming all this into THIS:

i love the construction for this book-and the colors are just fab! it's a very ambitious project... but it's gorgeous when it's all done! i am really looking forward to experiencing this FIRST HAND! and hanging with my Tattered Angels peeps... they are so much fuN!

everyone is working like crazy to get this all pulled together... thanks everyone! and hopefully, i'll see you in Minnesota on Sept 17-19

scrapbooking-

love the pages that we showed off tonight- i had so much fun creating these- using the printable stuff from the "Summer Junque" series at House of 3. 

i did two pages.. here is the first: take a look at it w/ no photo.

the photo mat is created w/ one of the Summer Junque backgrounds, with a Summer Junque card layered on top. it's so pretty, almost sad to put a photo on top and cover it up!

i used lots of the same ideas and techniques from last week's show- so the pages came together really quick.

this was my favorite part- i sewed 2 pieces of printed tissue paper together and created a fun double ruffle effect-  so here it is w/ the cute photo added:

it's not often that i create w/o a photo in mind- but for this one, i made the layout and then had a hard time choosing which photo to use.  This next layout was so much fun- i literally pulled the banners off my wall and put them in the background of my layout:

This is what the "background" looked like before i added photos- again i used my printed tissue paper ruffles and various other printable embellishments.

i LOVE how inspired i was from last weeks' show! SO CUTE!

and with the photos that i finally settled on: photos of Capri w/ her cute birthday dress...

both of these pages are almost exclusively "HYBRID" pages- almost everything has been printed and then used to create with ... that is just awesome.  here is a list of all the kits i used:
