i LOVE this page- man, it was a looong time ago- this is my beautiful sister-in-law maybe like 8 years ago? i can still remember when i took this photo. i made this page when i was on my 'dye' kick at Making Memories- it's published in a little mini-book called "To Dye For" (i found the book here for like $2 new and as low as .11 used!!).. man, the Glimmer mist is SO much better for this stuff!! but you can see that i was destined to be working with Tattered Angels! that Glimmer really makes it!

and i am really needing some Coral Reef... it's totally the NOW color!
alright... SO, i still need to grab a book.. i need a great read- one that really sucks you in! and you can't put down... the kind that makes the 18 hour flight only seem like a 12 hour flight!! i'd love to hear your suggestions...leave me a comment to enter to be WEDNESDAY'S BIG HUGE WINNER!!

I recently read The Girls from Ames and it was excellent! It is about a group of women who grew up together, and are still close friends. They have reunions every year. It is about their joys and struggles, but mainly about the bonds of friendship and love that have kept them together all of these years. I read it in a day.

An absolutely scrumptious 'Can't put down' read is 'When in Rome' by Penelope Green. She is an Australian who chases her dream and moves from Sydney to Rome. Just gorgeous and she's written 2 more books since then too. Big smiles from New Zealand

Anything by Kristin Hannah is GREAT! I LOVED Firefly Lane... It's a page turner and you will not be able to put it down! It's about 2 women that grow up, become the best of friends, and learn what being a true friend is all about.

A (kind of) classic that you won't be able to put down ~ Peyton Place. I read it a few years back (and I read EVERYTHING) and loved, loved, LOVED it! Small town drama, gossip, scandal ~ all the fun stuff.
My other selection choices would be:
-Girl w. the Dragon Tattoo
-Shadow of the Wind
Read both last year and they were HUGE hits at my book club. :)

Oh forgot to add, I loved loved loved the time traveler's wife, so out of the box but yet so romantic! I'm a huge James Patterson fan but his books are um, pretty detailed in murder and mayhem but great mysteries and an easy read.
Also, wanted to add, you said "remember those?" with the jewel matchbooks, um...i still have like over 20 of them. :)

Gotta love Ken Follett 'Pillars of the Earth' which is old and a classic but more recently his 'World without End' though to be fair you probably will need the full 18 hours (At least!) to read them - they are epic!!

What an awesome giveaway! For books... hmm. I'm in school so I'm reading mostly textbooks. I just finished "The Goal" by Eli Goldratt which was a school book, but excellent. I've been loving the YA vampire books including the House of Night series as well as Blue Bloods and Twilight, of course! I just got Swan Thieves from Elizabeth Kostova which I'm really looking forward to (she wrote The Historian, another favorite). I devoured The Poisonwood Bible if you haven't already read it. Can't think of anything else... have fun picking books!
